how to set up your group blog for the workshop:

We will be using blogger for setting-up the group blog. Blogger, which belongs now to google, is a website that provides the tools for creating blogs (Weblogs). It is easy to use and it gives also space where you can post images, texts, sound. For setting up a weblog follow the steps bellow:

1.- go to blogger at www.blogger.com.

2.- follow the simple steps for creating a new blog. Take care of remembering the user name you choose and the password.

3.-after choosing the name and other data for your blog, you will have to choose a template. Choose anyone at this point, we will change this later.

4.- Continue to Start Posting when you are finished.

5.-Go to settings>basic and fill in the description. What you should say here at least, is who you are (names, some background, if you want). Almost all data you enter in the blog can be edited afterwards, so don't worry too much if you are not too happy with initial descriptions and entries.

6.-you can add all the members of your group in the settings>members tab. Change anything as you wish, most of the default values are fine, anyway.

7.-now, go to the Template tab.

8.-open this and copy/paste all the html code, instead of the one that is there now (in the window of the page). Feel free to make any changes to it, or make your own template. Save things before you leave the tabs, you will get warning messages reminding you about this.

9.-you should post an entry before seen the blog. Check and try posting text and images, for example.

10.-You can see your blog online any time. If you are using the default space at blogger (if you are not using your own ftp accessed server space somewhere), you will be able to see it at: http://[the name of your blog].blogspot.com/ .

11.-Now you are set. email the address of your blog to pablo.m (at) arch.kth.se or asmund(at) s-e-r-v-o.com, so we can link it from the workshop web site.
